One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone is folding a paper and slides their fingers across to crease it. I don't know why, but this sound makes me cringe every time. I have now noticed that the sound of chalk on a chalk board sounds very similar to this. My math teacher insists on writing every single bit of information on the board, even if its a huge long word problem. Every once in a while during class I get that crappy feeling in my heart when she makes that wretched sound. As if math wasn't bad enough. AHHHH!!!!!

my husband can't stand the sound of someone running their fingernail over the ridged edge of a quarter. i hate the balloon rubbing sound.

Maybe your teacher should get a whiteboard or powerpoint, like the rest of college does.
I can't stand the sound of a certain person brushing their teeth, but I won't say who it is (not Jake). I also can't stand it when people talk with their mouth full. That's not really a sound, but it makes me make a really ugly disgusted face at them, completely unintentionally.
i hate the sound of velcro...it makes me gag
Listening to people chew gum or talk while eating makes me want to kill someone. Eating should be as silent as possible. Oh, but apparently I swallow really loud cause sometimes when I'm drinking (like my cocoa this morning) I make Brandon insane.
Okay I'm weird. First the sound of packing peanuts touching or rubbing anything grosses me out. Also cotton balls ripping or someone pulling the tip off a q-tip. I freak.
i'm totally with robin on the cotton ball thing, not only sound but the feeling too. also the sound of my husband snoring...i can not stand that sound...
You know, I'm gonna have to say... i think you are all freaks.
