Why did the chicken cross the road?

Why to get to KinderCare of coarse.

Yesterday when I got to work, everyone was talking about how there was a chicken in on our playground in the backyard, and sure enough, there was. A little black chicken had squeezed through the rod iron fence and was pecking away at our grass. It was in a part of the playground that we never use and is fenced off, so when the kids went outside they were all lined up against the fence watching it peck at the grass.

One of my co-workers, Kim, said that if I could catch it, she would take it home and keep it... That sounded like a challenge to me. So me and another lady I work with, Connie, went out on our mission with boxes in hand. By this time, our little chicken friend had moved out front and was hiding under the busses. After a few failed attempts to catch it from under the bus, I look over at Connie chasing it back over to the playground. It squeezed through the fence again so I ran and hopped over while Connie ran around through the building. Meanwhile all the kids are still lined up against the fence, on the playground side, screaming and yelling while I'm chasing the chicken with a box. Finally, after running around for a few minutes, I trapped it in a corner and caught it with my box.

It had to have been the funnest, craziest morning of work. Kim took the chicken home and now it roaming around in her backyard... Chickens are fast... but I'm much faster

Loud music and no old people

Last Saturday, Sept. 16. I had an acoustic show in our clubhouse. It was so amazingly fun. These are the 5 people/groups that performed. The second to last one is my friend McKay from Utah, he came down with some other people to visit and wanted to play a show for us Mesa folks. So I asked around and found the others who would be willing to play acoustic and for free. There was a pretty good turn out, probably around 50 people, if not more. I also got some good feedback from friends saying that they think I should make it a monthly event... I'm not sure about that but for sure I'd do it again.

She's done it again!

I don't know how it works but Leisel just seems to know exactly what I need every time I visit her. I don't mind having to sit in her salon for 3 to 4 hours every couple of months cause I'm always happy with the end result. Truly a miracle maker.

I hate cars

So for the past few months I've been casually looking around for a new car. My price range was about 5-7,000 but I wasn't in any rush to buy. I've only been looking on the internet and occasionally if there was something on the side of the road but nothing was catching my eye. I want to have this new car for a while so I want to get something that I actually like. On Friday I found out that I got a pretty decent raise so its been making me think more seriously about purchasing a car. I sat down with my dad on Saturday and he said that he thinks that if I up my price range a little bit, I'll be able to get a much better car and still be able to pay it off in a reasonable time frame. So today (Labor Day) he and I went around to a few lots to see what my options were. I decided that 12,000 was my max... pretty much doubling what I intentional considered spending. I still found nothing!!! Everything we looked at was in the 15-20,000 dollar range and there is no way I can even think about spending that much. I guess all that I accomplished to day was I found out that I HATE CARS!!!
